  13. I was very pleased with your site until I discovered the "similar translations" offered for the french expression "Bébé est né" which means "baby is born"

Here is the copy I made :

"How to say bébé est né in
    Detected language: french
Choose a language below to translate bébé est né
    ...........
Learn how to say bébé est né in many languages.
    Similar Translations
Mon bébé est sans aucun doute la merde
Mon bébé est sans aucun doute la merde"

Not very nice is it ?

  14. Hi,

similar translations are the user translated phrases that has already translated before.
ther may be not relevant similar translations.

    thanks

  15. i love this site it would be better to hear how the word is pronounced

  16. The translations are very accurate from Italian to English and back, much better than Babelfish. One improvement I'd like to see is a larger typing area to allow for translation of longer phrases, similar to Babelfish's interface.
    Thanks for the great tool!

  18. I like it a lot. However, is it possible to make it where there is a speech part. I'm trying to learn Korean, so to be able to hear how the word or phrase is pronounced would be great. thanx =D

  20. there are lot of errors in translations. For example I tested "do you speak German" in different languages. The translations into Polish and Russian are wrong, Italian and Romanian are missing (the English translation appears). But: a nice idea!!

  23. In my opinion the idea is good. But, some of the translations into German are really poor, some more and some less faithful to the original and some simply false, e.g.: "Where are you from? = Auf woher kommst du?" should be "Woher kommst du?" "Cupcake = TasseKuchen" should be "Törtchen"

  24. Hello.I love this site, you did an amazing job.
    I like it because it's simple.That's the best way.But recently,from I don't know what reason,my browser,doesn't let me access it :(

  25. It's the only site I trust to do my translations. However it would be really helpful if there was an audio tool, so you could hear it. So you know its what you're looking for.

  26. I think this site is very useful and efficient. One suggestion is this. I notice that when I use a common phrase in English and translate it to Chinese or Russia run it backwards to see how it translates back to English,
more often than not it says something completely different. it would be very useful if the original English input phrase was checked for viability and came up in red if it was not directly translatable with a suggestion for the closest phrase.

  28. Hi :)
it's a very nice site!!! and very good idea.
I've seen that some words are still not translated so I just tell you that in Polish:
I love you -> Kocham cię
(I'm Pole so don't worry about mistakes)
And about "happy birthday" we are not saying it that short, the most similar expression is: "Best wishes on your birthday" which in Polish it is -> "Wszystkiego najlepszego w dniu urodzin"

  35. Just discovered this site. I think the whole concept is very good and I had always been dreaming of such a place to interact. I wish this site becomes more meaningful if we are able to get some friends who can talk to each other or just chat, that is when you start learning a language from each other.
So anyone who is good in French want to become a friend! I would love to meet that person!

  36. Good site! Pity that half of the Russian phrases is intentionally corrupted with use of dirty lexicon. Vadim, Moscow.

  39. I recently finished my IB diploma in college, I think this site is great and I'll definitely be telling my friends about it!

Some of my friends were foreign, and don't have the best English, this site would definitely help them.

I have read from some other posts that a like and dislike feature has been added, however... This could end up like "urban dictionary". That's what worries me... I don't know... But maybe you could have simple symbols or tags for people who are trusted posters for more reliable phrases/results? Moderators? Some sort of indication would be great. Thank you (:

  40. Hi Shay,
Happy for your degree in college, and thank you for your nice words.

Well like dislike feature is for to eliminate bad and good translations actually, i should change it, good or bad.

    cheers.
